Our Story

When I was growing up, my family would gather every Sunday for the most important meal of the week: it was a time to have fun, catch up, trade stories of our lineage and imagine the future - all around a table bursting with exquisite colours and flavours.

My passion for cooking has always been inspired by my heritage. This was deepened through cooking with my grandparents in Jamaica and Cyprus. By the time I was a teenager, I was fluent in the family recipes and filled with a sense of adventure - my visits back home found me in the hustle and bustle of the markets and beaches, sampling the delicious street food, everything mixing together in a kaleidoscope of colours, flavours and ideas.

This is what Twerk ‘n’ Jerk is all about: bringing diverse tastes and people together to create beautiful, innovative things that nourish our souls. Everyone is welcome at our table - I hope to see you here soon!
