Creators of Unique Cypriot-Caribbean fusion Food in London
About Twerk'N'Jerk.
Flavours That Tell a Story. Culture That Brings People Together.
At Twerk’N’Jerk, we don’t just serve food; we serve moments. Born in the founder’s East London garden during lockdown with nothing but a BBQ grill and a bold vision, Twerk’N’Jerk has grown into one of London’s most exciting Caribbean street food brands. From Ilford to Canary Wharf and now Boxpark Wembley, we’re on a mission to put soulful fusion food on the map.
We bring together authentic Jamaican recipes, Cypriot roots, and vibrant creativity to create dishes that spark conversation, connection, and a little dance at the table.

How It All Started
Sundays were sacred in our home; the day when food, family, and stories came together - that joy of sharing a meal stuck with me. Raised on generations of family recipes passed down from both Jamaican and Turkish Cypriot grandparents, I was inspired to experiment at an early age. By my teens, I’d mastered the classics and started reimagining them with new ingredients and ideas.
Lockdown gave me the push to turn passion into purpose. With a garden, a grill, and an Instagram account, the first orders came from friends, then friends of friends. Within weeks, queues stretched down the street. That backyard hustle became a permanent stall at Mercato Metropolitano in Ilford, and in January 2024, we brought our flavour to Canary Wharf. Today, we serve thousands, from foodies to festival crowds, office workers to wedding guests.

What We Believe In
Twerk’N’Jerk is built on three things: community, culture, and creativity.
-
Community: Everyone’s welcome at our table - whether you're halal, vegan, gluten-free, or just hungry.
-
Culture: We celebrate our roots through every bite, blending traditions with innovation.
-
Creativity: From jerk burritos to loaded plantain fries, we rethink what Caribbean food can be.
We’re proud members of Black Eats London and have served events from the GUAP Gala to campaigns with Adidas and Budweiser - but our heart stays in the local food court, connecting with customers one plate at a time.
Meet the Twerk’N’Jerk Team
We’re a family-run operation through and through. Tyron, our founder and creative force, is hands-on in the kitchen and on the front lines. Our small, dedicated crew brings heart, hustle, and humour to every service, whether it’s in the food hall at Wood Wharf or a corporate party in Shoreditch.
You won’t find clichéd flags or stereotypes here, just fresh flavours, loud laughter, and real stories behind every dish.
